New Orleans Faith Health Alliance (NOFHA) is a free-standing, private non-profit, tax-exempt organization providing affordable health care for uninsured workers and their families in the Greater New Orleans region.
In addition to providing a full array of primary care services, our emphasis is on prevention and wellness through the integration of physical, emotional, & spiritual health services tailored to the individual needs of each member-patient.
NOFHA operates as a private, physician-directed medical practice - like a regular doctor’s office. Uninsured workers must pre-enroll to be members in the practice. All members pay for medical services based on their ability to pay. Payments are based on a sliding fee scale and are proportional to member/family income.
NOFHA’s health care team works with each member to develop an individualized health and wellness management plan. Multi-cultural staff provide ongoing education, access to health resources, and support designed to implement the plans and empower members to accept greater responsibility for the self-management of their health and wellness.
